Product Description

An interwall Heat Exchanger is composed of a plate heat transfer surface. This kind of Brazed Heat Exchanger has compact structure and large heat transfer area per unit volume. The main types are:

The spiral Plate Heat Exchanger is made of two parallel metal plates which keep a certain distance. The cold and hot fluids flow in the spiral channel on both sides of the metal plate. The heat transfer coefficient of this brazed heat exchanger is high (about 1 ~ 4 times higher than shell and tube heat exchanger), the average temperature difference is large (because of cold and hot fluid can be completely countercurrent flow), flow resistance is small, not easy to scale; But maintenance is difficult. The operating pressure shall not exceed 2MPa.

(2) Plate heat exchanger by a certain shape of corrugated plate and sealing gasket interaction overlapping, and assembled with a frame clamp. The cold and hot fluids flow through the channels on both sides of the corrugated plate and transfer heat through the plate. Corrugated plate is usually made of stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, molybdenum and other thin plates with thickness of 0.5 ~ 3mm. The advantages of plate heat exchanger is high heat transfer coefficient (about 2 ~ 4 times higher than shell and tube heat exchanger), easy to remove and wash, and can increase or decrease the number of plate to adjust the heat transfer area. The operating pressure shall not exceed 2MPa and the operating temperature shall not exceed 250℃.

③ The plate-fin heat exchanger is composed of heat exchange plate bundle enclosed in the collector box with cold and hot fluid inlet and outlet. The plate bundle is composed of plate and corrugated fin interacted and brazed. Cold and hot fluids flow through both sides of the plate for heat transfer, and the fins increase the heat transfer area, and promote the fluid turbulence, and enhance the equipment. The structure of plate-fin heat exchanger is very compact (the heat exchange area is up to 4400m2/m3), the heat transfer effect is good, and the service pressure can reach 15MPa. But its manufacturing process is complex, small flow channel, leakage is not easy to repair, so it is limited to clean non-corrosive fluid, such as heat exchanger for air separation.
